How do you add the menu module after header in Beaver Builder theme

Adding BB's MENU module after header

Adding BB’s MENU module after header

In this article I am showing, how do you add the Beaver Builder Plugin’s advanced modules “menu” after site header in your Beaver Builder child theme.

Creating Custom Menu

At first you will create a custom menu from your dashboard. Follow the WordPress Menu User Guide and create the menu.

Creating Beaver Builder Template

Make sure you already installed the Beaver Builder plugin. Now navigate to Dashboard->Templates->Add New and create a full width row template. Checkout the video. I created my menu template this way.

Adding the Menu After Header

Open the functions.php file and add this snippet at end of the file. Before editing the file you will keep a backup of your child theme.

Beaver Builder plugin is providing the [fl_builder_insert_layout] shortcode. Biggest advantage of this shortcode that you can display your custom row templates at any places using theme’s hooks or filters. Here I am executing the shortcode by WordPress do_shortcode function.

Styling for Better Look

Adding some CSS in style.css file. You will adjust the CSS as per your site design.

Additional Tips

Adding the menu above the header

If you want the menu above the site header, you will just remove the previous snippet and add this snippet in your functions.php file.
